Sure: We have hot summers, on this summer we had over 40C....And the summer could be pretty dry too.......Our autumn is pretty long, but it could be really fast too. Winter is cold, over -20C usually....On winter we have much snow. Same kind of as the Kari from Kouvola

August 27 2003: I got many cactuses today! Thank You Very Much!

The plastic is there to keeping the rainwater out (We have much rains now)

August 28 2003:

I made new flowerbed to the cactuses today. Now they have good soil. Heres the picture.

Hello. Here is two pictures of my cactuses which I took today.
Pediocactus looks good. I am not sure about Opuntia compressa, is it dead?....This plant in winter shrinks and dehydrate very much, it is normal, the plant is healthy and don’t matter in spring it will swollen again. See the Opuntia compressa page... I have no idea how the cactuses are doing under snow, but we will see that after couple months..

April 12 2004 Here we go again. Opuntia compressa and Pediocactus in flowerbed died. Sclerocactus survived. Both Opuntia compressa and Pediocactus in the greenhouse survived also.Minimum temperature was -22-25C
