Pygmaecereus

Pygmaeocereus bieblii is a fascinating little, geophytic cactus with short thick spines. It usually grows solitary but occasionally forms small clusters or even large mats flat to the ground. It is really a particular cactus with very peculiar spines.

A pygmy cactus that offsets to form dense cushions of dozens of dark green, spherical to cylindrical heads. Its nocturnal, fragrant, funnel-shaped white flower can reach up to 6 cm in length.

Pygmaeocereus bylesianus is a diminutive cactus with short, dense rust-coloured spines and remarkably beautiful white nocturnal flowers which open for just a single night.

Pygmaeocereus familiaris is one of the smallest cactus, that in nature forms cushions with many green stems usually less than to 2 centimeters in length. The funnel-shaped, white flowers are up to 8 cm long and strongly perfumed.
