Description: Pachypodium
rosulatum forma cristata is a very rare and nice succulent with a
thin crested trunk. The purplish-gray stem will form a convoluted
fan-shaped cluster. The comb-shaped
foliage is arranged
only at the top of the
trunk .
Culture:
A
draining
cactus potting mix and
a good water supply is all this plant needs, it like
full sun to
light shade with warm
temperatures. It tends to lose its leave and go
dormant in winter. It
then needs very little water.
Repot the plant every
2-3 years.

The crests of Pachypodium rosulatum are rare and hard to find in
cultivation because they need a sophisticated grafting technique.
To do this work (since this kind of crest are very thin, sometime only 1
or 2 mm) it is required a high degree of skill and a quiet hand!
