Denmoza

Il nome "rhodacantha" è formato da due parole greche che significano "spina rossa" in riferimento al colore bruno-rossiccio delle spine giovanili di questa specie. E' un grosso cactus a crescita lenta che col tempo può crescere in forma di colonna.
