Tephrocactus

Spettacolare specie con lunghe spine cartacee, piatte, fessibili ed innoffensive. E' una pianta comune ma sempre molto ammirata che con il tempo forma piccoli cespugli.

Bella succulenta senza spine dal corpo segmentato, che forma piccoli cespugli composti da rami a forma di catena. Le areole con glochidi bruni e feltro bianco sono particolarmente ornamentali. Fiori bianchi in giugno-luglio.

Tephrocactus alexanderi is a small cactus with spherical or egg-shaped branches, covered with stiff spines and readily detached. The flowers are large pinkish-white.

Beautiful and rare variety with deep purple new shoots. Over time, the shoots become covered with a gray pruinous patina which gives them a very characteristic appearance. Seldom offered for sale.
