Seedlings measuring 8-10 mm in diameter. Extremely rare!!! This cactus species is very small, growing to just 2-6 cm tall in the wild. Viewed from above, the plants have a star-like shape. During flowering, each plant displays a single nine-petaled bloom, white at the center and fading to vibrant magenta on the outer edges.

Aztekium valdezii is the third species within the Aztekium genus of the cactus family. Very slow growing, very rare.
