Solitary stem, slightly umbilicated at the apex, yellowish-green to dark olive-green. Ribs are very regularly and attractively wavy, with shallow depressions at the areoles. Radial spines 4–6, glassy-white; central spines 3, strongly flattened, brownish-purple, upright, with one distinctly longer.
