Miniature globose cactus, unbranched or in small clumps. Produces small pink flowers followed by attractive red fruits . Spines are white or greysh (reddish at the apex), innocuous and appressed on sides of stems and, as the name implies, very dense.

Description

This tiny globular cactus features harmless, comb-arranged white-gray spines tightly hugging the stem, with reddish spines at the apex. It produces dainty pink blooms, succeeded by showy red fruits. 
Shares its habitat with Echinocereus diguetii, Escobaria zilziana, and Leuchtenbergia principis.


2-3 year old seed-grown specimens - rare ungrafted plants with natural roots.
