A remarkably beautiful cactus, Toumeya papyracantha is seldom encountered in horticulture. Due to challenges in self-rooted cultivation, it is typically grafted onto cold-hardy Echinocereus. It can withstand freezing temperatures down to -12°C or below, making it surprisingly frost tolerant when grafted and properly cared for.
