Slow-growing caudiciform succulent with nodular grey-silver to copper stems, resembling a miniature coral-like bonsai. Winter-growing species: active from late summer to spring, then deciduous and dormant in summer.

Extremely fragile: the branches detach with the slightest bump, especially during transport. However, the fallen pieces can be easily replanted and root with remarkable ease, allowing quick propagation and new plants.
