An extremely rare species growing on pure quartz gravel with highly acidic pH. The var. rubra differs from the standard form by its darker body, showing rich reddish-purple tones.

Approx. 1.5-1.8 cm (or larger). 2-3 years old seedlings. Own roots. Seed-grown. VERY RARE!!!

This is a highly sought-after specimen, grown from seed. It has developed on its own roots (not grafted), making it especially desirable for collectors. Extremely limited availability – a true gem for cactus enthusiasts.
Plant color depends on sunlight—those grown in shade are more greenish.
